At Aset Hospital, we offer only the best quality implants including Motiva,  and Mentor®, as well as  breast augmentation by fat transfer. Consultations take place at Aset Hospital with some of the most highly experienced and well renown elite breast surgeons in the country.

Our hospital in Whiston near Liverpool, is CQC registered and use's state of the art equipment.

Who Is Suitable For Breast Augumentation?

Each person has their own reasons for choosing a breast augmentation. Many patients choose an augmentation after weight loss , breast feeding or simply because they feel that their breasts are out of proportion. We like to get to know you first, and ensure that you are physically and psychologically healthy prior to treatment. Please note that if you suffer from excessive drooping, or sagging of the breasts (‘breast ptosis), a breast uplift procedure (mastopexy) may be the best course of action for you. This can be done with or without augmentation (adding an implant). You must be over 18 for us to consider your request for surgery.

Your Breast Size Choices

Some patients already have a desired size or shape in mind, others are undecided. It is the job of our expert consultants to help you reach a decision. We always offer at least two consultations, which will give you the time to discuss any questions you may have. If you remain unsure, we can offer multiple consultations at no extra cost. Usually we can increase the breast size to the size specified by the patient (within safe limit), however bra cup sizes are not always a reliable measure of breast size. As a result, there’s no way to guarantee a specific breast size post treatment.

Breast Implant Choices

The choice of implant is a really important decision to make for this surgery. At Aset we only use Motiva and Mentor implants – among the highest quality and most advanced implants available. The implants we use come with a life time guarantee against rupture, and the Mentor and Motiva guarantee against contracture for up to 10 years from the date of surgery. We understand this is a lot of information to digest through reading, which is why we take you through it step by step during our consultation process.

Under or Over the Muscle Choice

Implants can be placed under, or over the chest muscle. There is a lot of misinformation online; the medical position is that the position of the implant does not have a significant effect on the final appearance, nor does it risk the condition capsular contracture. The main importance of this decision is on the basis of reducing the risk of rippling. If the implant is too close to the skin, the implant can ripple so it’s better to have more padding between the surface of the implant and the skin. For this reason our Surgeons will assess you on an individual basis, taking your preference into account while providing guidance and recommendations.

Implant Shape Choice

There are many shape options to choose from. Implants are available in round and teardrop shapes. We will work with you to achieve your desired shape, but the final results will depend on many factors: your current breast shape, chest wall shape and the implants used. These elements will be discussed in depth during the consultations. In the case of drooping or asymmetry, we may recommend additional procedures.

Consultation

The consultations will usually take place at Aset Surgery Centre, and will last approximately one hour. During the initial consultation, your surgeon will provide a full assessment and discuss your desires and requirements. You will be able to obtain answers to all of your questions and concerns about an enlargement, and your consultation will determine the best suited breast augmentation procedure for you tailored to your individual needs.

Who Makes a Good Candidate?

Patients should be looking for improvement, not perfection! A healthy emotional and psychological relationship with cosmetic procedures is very important: perfection is always unattainable, but improvement (according to your wishes) is achievable. We also must ensure that you are in good physical health before the procedure, to establish and minimise the risks of surgery

Breast Surgery - Risks*

Our consultants will conduct a full risk assessment; based on your individual case and health background, in order to minimise any risk. As with any surgical procedure, there are health risks involved with breast asymmetry surgery. Our team will discuss this in full with the view of providing as much information as possible to enable patient lead, well-informed choices. If you have any concerns or questions concerning risk, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us at Aset: before, during or after your procedure. We are here to support your wellbeing, and safety.

* Individual results may vary.

Post Breast Surgery Aftecare

The exact procedure depends on your chosen course of treatment, however most surgeries for breast enlargement will require a one night stay in hospital. Aset will provided a personalised aftercare package, included in your treatment package. After you are discharged, you will be provided with post-operative care instructions, and 24-hour access to trained staff to advise and assist with any questions or concerns.

Follow-up examinations with your surgeon will be arranged to monitor progress, and check you are recovering well. From experience, our surgeons estimate that it takes around 2-3 weeks to recover and heal from this procedure. Standard follow-up schedule: Approximately 2 weeks after surgery: a member of Aset hospital’s trained surgical staff will see you and check your wounds to ensure proper healing and no infections.

Approximately 6 weeks after surgery: further follow-up to check recovery. After 6 weeks, the follow-up appointments will continue at regular intervals if you are not yet fully healed. Appointments will continue until you are completely healed. These follow-ups are standard and provided at no extra cost. Please be aware that your exact schedule may vary slightly from the example due to your specific needs.

What if there is a problem?

As with all surgeries, there are risks involved. Although it is unlikely that there will be a problem, we will immediately make arrangements for you to be seen by trained staff. If required, this can include the surgeon who performed the procedure. All our surgeons live and work in the local area, so they can be seen at relatively short notice. Our surgeons don’t leave the country immediately after surgery. If, on a rare occasion, the surgeon leaves the local area for other commitments, we will always ensure there will be another trained plastic surgeon from our team to provide you with comprehensive care. Complications directly related to surgery: In the unlikely event of a complication directly related to your surgery, we will provide or arrange further surgery and treatment at no extra cost for up to one year.
